Daily Download: "Hospital Beds," Cold War Kids

An indie rock bulldozer

Cold War Kids: Blogging buzz band, center of a minor label war, sure to be future flavor of the month. They've got songs up on their Web site from their three EPs, recorded in April 2005, November 2005 and January 2006, respectively, and while the basic sound, a spare and testosterone-heavy indie rock bulldozer, hasn't changed much over that time, the most recent song, "Hospital Beds," is the most compelling by far, sharply honed and electric, with a great piano, bass and drum groove.
