Some of America's top entertainers gathered at the Apollo Theater a few weeks ago to honor legend Don Rickles with a good, old-fashioned celebrity roast. Jon Stewart, Jerry Seinfeld, Martin Scorsese and Robert De Niro were among the stars in attendance, who were entertained by comedians Tina Fey, Amy Poehler and Tracy Morgan.
Fey, who zipped across town for the performance and then left immediately following it, appeared for an "ambush comedy set," as "Late Night" host Seth Meyers described it last week. Last night, Spike TV released a few clips from the roast. Fey served up jokes with her comedy companion:
Tracy Morgan also honored Rickles, who once touched the actor by sending him a beautiful flower arrangement when Morgan was in the hospital for a kidney transplant. Rather than roasting Rickles, however, he burned Donald Sterling:
