Ahead of the January 21 premiere of “Portlandia”’s sixth season, Audible teamed up with IFC to produce “Portlandia Travelogue: The Brussels to Antwerp Express,” a fifteen-minute-long audiobook written and performed by Fred Armisen in character as Candace Deveraux, co-owner of hyper-feminist bookstore Women and Women First. Follow along as Deveraux spares no detail of her “erotic” European journey.
“Portlandia”—the brainchild of SNL-alum Armisen, Sleater-Kinney guitarist (and memoirist) Carrie Brownstein, and writer Jonathan Krisel—is an Emmy-winning sketch-based satire set in the City of Roses.
The free audio download—available here—will remain available for the ten-episode duration of season six. Catch the “Portlandia” season premiere Thursday, January 21 at 10 p.m. on IFC.
