Coffee, tea or a suicide bombing?

The secretary of state on the march of freedom in Iraq.

Raw Story brings us this exchange from last night's "The O'Reilly Factor."

Bill O'Reilly: "The truth of the matter is, our correspondents at Fox News can't go out for a cup of coffee in Baghdad."

Condoleezza Rice: "Bill, that's tough. It's tough. But what -- would they wanted to have gone out for a cup of coffee when Saddam Hussein was in power?"

Rice's comments came on a day when at least 160 people were killed in suicide bombings, rocket attacks and shootings that were apparently the work of the Iraq branch of al-Qaida. Perhaps it's a good time to remind the secretary of state that suicide bombings were a "phenomenon unknown" in Iraq before the United States invaded.
