Report: Edwards to suspend campaign
The candidate will hold a press conference today.
John and Elizabeth Edwards will go before the cameras in just a few minutes, but MSNBC says it has the story already: Edwards, sources tell the network, is “suspending his campaign for the presidency, and may drop out completely, because his wife has suffered a recurrence of the cancer that sickened her in 2004, when she was diagnosed with breast cancer.”
