During an appearance at a New York City fundraiser Thursday night, Clinton took note of the force the vice president seems to have over Senate Republicans. “You can always tell when the Republicans are getting restless, because the vice president’s motorcade pulls into the Capitol, and Darth Vader emerges,” Clinton said.
Cheney visited with Senate Republicans Tuesday. After that, Clinton observed, “all the brave talk about bringing our troops home and setting deadlines and getting out by a certain date just dissipated.”
