Frontline's "Growing Up Online" (9 p.m. EST on PBS, check listings) explores the growing trend among teenagers and children to socialize, play games, meet new friends and develop separate identities on the Internet. While kids see their online dalliances as a normal part of everyday life and consider themselves capable of ignoring dangerous strangers and sexual predators, parents are understandably fearful about the potential for the kids to get into trouble or expose themselves in ways that they'll regret later in life. Interviews and anecdotes indicate that online bullying is a serious problem for many kids, and the report exposes one heartbreaking case of teen suicide that seemed to be caused in part by excessive online harassment. This detailed and harrowing report not only outlines the widening gap between parents' and kids' perceptions of online interactions, but it highlights the misgivings, disappointments and hopes of both sides.

A new episode of "Life on Mars" airs at 9 p.m. EST on BBC-America, and Bravo's "The Millionaire Matchmaker," a reality series about a matchmaker for the filthy rich, premieres at 11 p.m. EST.
