MoveOn says if McCain wins, it's my fault

The liberal advocacy group produces a customizable Web ad that allows people to encourage their friends to vote in a very personal way.

No, you didn't oversleep, and I'm not the subject of any banner headlines, either -- that's a screen shot from MoveOn's latest Web ad. The liberal group is allowing people to customize the video and an accompanying Web site to include the names of their friends and encourage them to get out and vote for Barack Obama.

The video itself isn't bad, but the Web site is better. Some of the headlines on the customized page my former colleague Farhad Manjoo sent me are, "Neighbor: 'Alex Always Seemed So Normal,'" "World: 'Really? Again? Really?!?'" "Obama Reportedly 'Not Mad, Just Disappointed'" and my personal favorite, "Final Words of Dying Child: 'I Hate Alex.'" (Strangely, it's not the first time that's happened, but that's a whole other story.)

If you want to customize one of your own, the page where you can do so is here.

Update: OK, I've removed the video. Trust me, if the autoplay was annoying you, it was even worse for me, as I look at the blog for various reasons pretty regularly. It had been up for long enough that you all got the idea, I assume. If you missed out and want to see it, it's here.
