Are pregnant women smug?
A satiric clip pokes fun at women who think motherhood turns them into Mother Earth.
I saw this YouTube clip linked on Jezebel today. Comedienne-musicians Riki Lindhome and Kate Micucci (who perform as the duo Garfunkel and Oates) take a broad swipe at the sacred cow of motherhood with the satiric little ditty, “Pregnant Women Are Smug.” Sample line: “You’re just giving birth now / You’re not Mother Earth now.”
So what do you think, readers? Are pregnant women smug? Or are single people just bitter?
