Space porn: These images are (quite literally) out of this world
Arizona lawmakers who still aren’t convinced President Barack Obama was born in the United States are pushing a bill that would require the president to show his birth certificate to get on the state’s 2012 ballot.
Opponents say the bill, passed Wednesday by the House, is casting Arizona in an ugly light and could give the elected secretary of state broad powers to kick a presidential candidate off the ballot.
The measure’s sponsor, Republican Rep. Judy Burges of Skull Valley, says she isn’t sure if Obama could prove his eligibility for the ballot in Arizona and wants to erase all doubts.
Hawaii officials have repeatedly confirmed Obama is a natural-born American citizen, and his Hawaiian birth certificate has been made public.

40 years ago the Apollo 8 mission flew up to the moon, orbited it ten times and then returned to Earth. This picture was taken from that flight and shows the Earth as it seemingly rises in similar fashion to a sunrise.
Sunrise from Expedition 36
NASA Flight Engineer Karen L. Nyberg of Expedition 36 took this photo of the sun rising -- a sight they saw nearly 16 times per day due to the speed of the International Space Station's orbit around the earth.
