Egypt's news agency say the wife of deposed President Hosni Mubarak has turned over her property and funds to the state.
Mubarak and his wife, Suzanne have been questioned about their financial dealings. Some estimates put Mubarak's holdings in the tens of billions of dollars.
Suzanne Mubarak, 70, has been hospitalized following an order to detain her. Mubarak, 83, who was deposed Feb. 11, is also in the hospital.
The news agency said her domestic assets were worth $3 million. Her agreement could lead to dropping the investigation.
A government official said Monday the case against her has not yet been closed, though her detention order may be reconsidered.
He spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to release information.
