Twitter reports that the first lady's speech "peaked at 28,003 Tweets per minute (TPM) at its conclusion," which is  almost twice as many as Mitt Romney's peak of 14,289 during his convention speech last week.

The news comes as yet another blow to Romney's social media campaigning efforts; last week he invested at least $120,000 in a Twitter campaign that backfired.
