Obama to address climate change plan on Tuesday

The White House released a video on Saturday announcing that the president will discuss energy efficiency

The White House announced on Saturday afternoon via Twitter that President Obama will reveal a plan that responds to the growing threat of climate change.

"We owe it to our kids to do something about climate change," said the tweet, which also shared the following video narrated by the president:

"This Tuesday, I’ll lay out my vision for where I believe we need to go — a national plan to reduce carbon pollution, prepare our country for the impacts of climate change, and lead global efforts to fight it," Obama said in the video.

Obama will address the nation at 1:35 pm ET from Georgetown University.
