State Sen. Wendy Davis' marathon filibuster (aided by her Democratic colleagues and reproductive rights advocates in the gallery, natch) defeated Texas' sweeping antiabortion omnibus bill and helped to secure women's continued access to safe medical care in Texas.

It also garnered her a pretty fancy group of new fans on Twitter.
