Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer is in the September issue of Vogue. She looks really great lounging on very stylish lawn furniture, and wearing dresses that are maybe made out of swan feathers.

A lot has already been said about Mayer. She heads a very large company and makes a lot of money. She was super pregnant when she took the job. She ended a company policy that allowed employees to work from home. People have complicated feelings about her. She may "have it all." But she also maybe does not "have it all."

In the profile, we learn that Mayer likes to play Candy Crush (just like us), and that she has a replica of a Palo Alto diner in her California backyard (not like us).

She is a "stylish geek," according to writer Jacob Weisberg. She adopts a humble, self-deprecating tone about her success and astronomical wealth that may help readers relate to her.

She says things like, "I didn’t set out to be at the top of technology companies. I’m just geeky and shy and I like to code ... It’s not like I had a grand plan where I weighed all the pros and cons of what I wanted to do -- it just sort of happened.”

It is a nicely done, pretty straightforward magazine profile of a very successful executive who lives a life that does not look like the lives of a majority of Americans.

Because she is a woman, it comes with a glamour shot.
