GETTING ON follows the daily lives of overworked nurses and doctors in a rundown hospital extended care wing as they struggle with the darkly comic realities of tending compassionately to their patients who are “getting on” in years. This new HBO comedy series blends outrageous humor with unexpected moments of tenderness, as this ragtag crew deals with the needs of their patients as well as the challenges of a health-care bureaucracy.
The cast includes talent such as Laurie Metcalf (three Emmys® for “Roseanne”) as Dr. Jenna James, Alex Borstein (“Family Guy”) as Nurse Dawn, Niecy Nash (“Reno 911!”) as Nurse DiDi and Mel Rodriguez (“Community”) as Patsy De La Serda.
