John Goodman is coming back to host "Saturday Night Live" for the thirteenth time this week. Though an "SNL" hosting veteran, the "Roseanne" actor has not hosted since 2001, with musical guest Ja Rule.

Goodman, currently in the Coen Bros. film "Inside Llewyn Davis," taped a series of promos with Taran Killam in which the two share an awkward embrace and disturbingly belt Christmas carols that no one's ears should ever be subjected to. Musical guest Kings of Leon will likely offer better talent during the Dec. 14 broadcast.
