"Veep" star Julia Louis-Dreyfus may not have planned it, but she found herself with a hot date on Tuesday night at the White House: her real-life counterpart, Vice President Joe Biden.

The pop cultural significance was not lost on Dreyfus, who has played Vice President Selena Meyer for two years on HBO's Emmy Award-winning show. When asked by a reporter what the best part of her evening was, she replied, “Look who I’m sitting next to."

Biden, most likely assuming his "Diamond" Biden alter ego, then reportedly cut in, saying, “Hey, stop screwin’ around, she’s my date!” He was quick to laugh and add, “Just kidding.” (Obviously because he already has "Parks and Recreation" star Amy Poehler in his life).
