The "Game of Thrones" song "The Rains of Castamere" received the Sigur Rós treatment. The song, sometimes known as the "Lannister song," tells of the destruction of one nobel house (the House of Reyne) by that of another (the House of Lannister). It is hummed or sung periodically throughout all four seasons.

Whether or not listeners watch the  HBO show based off the popular George R.R. Martin books, it is a beautiful new Sigur Rós single. "The Rains of Castamere" was previously covered by The Hold Steady and The National. It will be released on the Game of thrones season four soundtrack.
