Watch: Bachmann goes off on Benghazi, accuses Democrats of trying to "sabotage" hearings

In a Sunday morning spar, Representative Bachmann argues with Representative Wasserman Schultz on CNN

The House of Representatives is gearing up for yet another "select committee" about the September 11, 2012 Benghazi attack, and the Sunday shows were all a flutter over the Republican-driven hearings.

On "Fox News Sunday," host Chris Wallace discussed the hearings with the head of the select committee, Representative Trey Gowdy (R-SC) and Representative Xavier Becerra (D-CA). On ABC's "This Week" Marco Rubio expressed his disdain for Hillary Clinton's performance as Secretary of State due to Benghazi, and on CNN's "State of the Union" things got heated between Representative Michele Bachmann (R-MN) and Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL).

This current probe into the attack has garnered flack from Democrats for not only being partisan, but also for being a way to manufacture a scandal, raise funds and rally the GOP base before the 2014 election.

In the segment, Wasserman Schultz begins to raise this point before being repeatedly interrupted by Bachmann.

“The bottom line here is that the Republicans have clearly lost the ability,” Wasserman Schultz stated Sunday morning, “because we’ve had such a precipitous drop, among Republicans even, in their fervor for repealing the Affordable Care Act, that they are clearly doing this to drive their turnout—”

“That is not true at all," Bachmann quickly interjected.Despite this interruption, Wasserman Schultz continued to lay out her point.

“The Republicans are in the majority of the House of Representatives, so they can essentially do whatever they want," Wasserman Schultz explained. "In creating this select committee, they have to, in order to make sure that the process is credible — which, the way they’ve set it up, it’s clearly not going to be and has an outcome that’s been predetermined — they have to treat the minority fairly.”

Bachmann was not at all pleased by this. “That’s absolutely not true,” she interrupted.

"Candy," Bachman said to host Candy Crawley, "it’s really clear that the Democrats have tried to sabotage this process from the very beginning. We shouldn’t do that when we have questions about four people who’ve died. We’ve got to get to the bottom of this, and not politicize it. And unfortunately that’s what’s been happening with the Democrats."

“We don’t have the ability to sabotage it!” Wasserman Schultz countered.

The rest of the segment is nearly unintelligible: The two traded heated comments, as Crowley tries to steer the conversation in a new direction. You can watch the segment below:
