Solange and Jay Z's elevator fight is the best thing to ever happen to the band "Elevator Fight"

Too bad the group disbanded a few years ago, because they've never had more Google hits flooding their website

Google "elevator fight" in search of yet more conspiracy theories about Solange's pummeling of Jay Z, and you'll see that the second result out of many thousands is the Facebook page of a now-defunct band that might, had it managed to stay together, have experienced quite a burst of accidental publicity.

Drummer Joe Baldacci told Salon that we were the first to remark upon the pop cultural coincidence of the band's name, adding: "We all have moved on to other projects." For lead singer Zoe Kravitz, said projects include modeling and appearing in films like "Divergent" and "After Earth."

But one can only imagine how much Elevator Fight would have seen its profile grow in 2014 -- not merely because of Solange and Jay Z but also because of a fan-favorite sequence in "Captain America: The Winter Soldier," in which Chris Evans's character takes out several adversaries in, yes, an elevator.

For proof, see the vertiginous spike the phrase "elevator fight" has seen in recent news headlines, via Google Trends:

Oh Elevator Fight, this could have been your moment in the zeitgeist. Or maybe not: One of their last Facebook posts reads: "So, we're gonna change our name soon."
