Redskins attempt to generate #RedskinsPride and fail

The name induces more #Racism than #RedskinsPride

The Redskins took a page from the PR book of R.Kelly and the NYPD this afternoon when the team asked Twitter uses to let it know what they thought of its offensive name. Considering that Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, along with half of senate, Barack Obama, Stephen Colbert, Jon Stewart and the National Congress of American Indians have all condemned the name for its racist origins, you'd think that at the very least, the team wouldn't stoke the fire on Twitter. But nope, they sure did!
