On Monday night, Rihanna set the entertainment world abuzz when she arrived at the CFDA Fashion Awards in a sheer, sparkly body sheath. The singer, who has been boldly baring nipple all year, accepted the Fashion Icon of the Year award in a fishnet dress adorned with more than 230,000 Swarovski crystals. It was designed by Rihanna's longtime collaborator, Adam Selman, who is also the boyfriend of Rihanna's stylist. “We definitely wanted to make it a little bit scandalous,” Selman told Style.com. “The dress is just fishnet and crystals and a couple of fingers crossed. But fashion is about beauty, and the [female] body is part of that.”

While Selman is known for inspiring some of RiRi's boldest looks, however, he's relatively new to the world of high fashion, having just debuted his first line last September. According to Style, he's faring well so far. Though his source of inspiration is...interesting: "So it's hiking clothes meets India, but in a weird, New York, Stephen Sprouse kind of way," he said.

What in the world does that look like? This, apparently (with made-up names):

If you are curious about the hats, well, they are just as high-concept and well thought out designs, according to Selman: "I was just playing around with some fabric and tied it around my head, and that was it. But it kind of came out TLC."

The "oops, I forgot my pants"
