"Be curious, I know I will forever be": Stephen Hawking joins Facebook and instantly inspires fans

The brilliant cosmologist has already garnered over 900,000 likes

Stephen Hawking, the brilliant cosmologist who has studied the mysteries of our universe, including theories about black holes, is now connecting to those here on Earth through Facebook.

Hawking already inspired the over 900,000 fans, who "like" his page. His first post stated:

"I have always wondered what makes the universe exist. Time and space may forever be a mystery, but that has not stopped my pursuit. Our connections to one another have grown infinitely and now that I have the chance, I’m eager to share this journey with you. Be curious, I know I will forever be."

Hawking's page shows that he has been a Facebook member since October 7th of this year, but his first post cropped up on Friday.

The Hawking biopic, "Theory of Everything," which chronicles his ALS diagnosis at age 21 and significant scientific breakthroughs, arrives in theaters on November 7th. Watch the trailer below:
