Nightmare: Window washers are stuck outside the 69th floor of World Trade Center

Update (2:20 p.m.): The workers safely made it into the World Trade Center through removed glass panes after an hour and a half dangling outside the building.

Earlier: Two window washers are currently stuck in a broken scaffolding dangling outside the 69th floor of 1 World Trade Center in lower Manhattan. The initial emergency call came in at 12:45 p.m., meaning that the workers have been dangling at a rather sharp angle for over an hour.

The fire and police departments are on the scene and are working on removing the glass window panes. According to CBS New York, the two are likely not in danger of falling further.
