On Thursday night Jon Stewart took a break from his exhaustive indictment of America's torture practices to discuss some lighter news. The duke and duchess of Cambridge -- William and Kate -- were in New York this past week.

Stewart begins to understand why people are so obsessed with the "antiquated relic" that is the monarchy: The couple is so attractive -- and a welcome distraction from finding out the methods of "enhanced interrogation" our country used on prisoners.

Not everyone, however, was pleased with the royal visit. Jessica Williams has her own thoughts: "The Royals came here looking for a black friend." Watch below:
