Jon Stewart slams the Obama administration over treatment of whistleblowers

Seven out of the 11 times the Espionage Act was put into use was under this administration

On Thursday night's "The Daily Show" -- while the Internet was ablaze with llama memes, and disagreement over a dress -- Jon Stewart discussed whistleblowers and the Espionage Act.

Stewart began with a case in Europe where a man blew the whistle on financial institution HSBC and found himself embroiled in lawsuits, and imprisoned for five months. On the other hand, in the U.S. financial whistleblowers are treated much better. Government related whistleblowing however seems to have far more dire consequences. Watch below:
