Continuing his habit off popping up almost unannounced, the artist currently known as Prince has declared that the American leg of his “Hit and Run” tour will kick off in Louisville, Kentucky on May 14th at an us-yet undisclosed venue. He will be joined by his band, 3RDEYEGIRL, whose drummer Hannah Welton is a graduate of the Louisville Leopard Percussionists, the youth ensemble whose Led Zeppelin medley recently went viral when Jimmy Page shared their video on Facebook.

Like last year’s British “Hit and Run" tour, future dates remain a surprise  — in the UK, he played two or three shows a night at major venues, announcing the dates spontaneously on Twitter at the last minute. Unfortunately Prince recently deleted his Twitter account (RIP, beautiful insanity) but we're sure word will get out somehow. Remain vigilant, Prince fans: The Purple One approaches!
