Madonna was recently interviewed for Us Weekly’s “25 Things You Don’t Know About Me” section, and the "Rebel Heart" singer served up more juicy, quotable nuggets than we've come to expect from the weekly tabloid column, from revealing her "lifelong" ambition ("to go on a dream date with Drake—and only kiss him”) to her most embarrassing moment: ("being choked off the stage by two little Japanese girls - at the 2015 Brit Awards.") She also shared her favorite Michael Jackson memory, a time when she succeeded in getting the shy singer to let down his guard. As she tells Us, "The time I succeeded most was after I got him drunk at the Ivy in Beverly Hills. I was driving my Mercedes and dared him to throw his sunglasses out the window. We couldn't stop laughing."

But the most funny and revealing quote might be when she is asked about the person in the world she would most like to meet. As she puts it:

"The person I most want to meet is President Obama. When the heck am I going to meet him? He just needs to invite me to the White House already. He probably thinks I'm too shocking to be there. I'm serious. If I was a little bit more demure . . . or if I was just married to Jay Z. Hey, if Jay would only take me as his second wife, then I'd score an invitation.”

Interesting! Do we detect a subtle chip on Madge's shoulder that she isn't being accorded the deference she deserves as one of pop's elder stateswomen? Is this a subtle diss at Beyoncé? Does Madge genuinely think she’s too “shocking” to go to the White House, and is she proud of this, or slightly annoyed? Does she really want Bey's sister-wife? Or is it just a meaningless bit of banter in a surprisingly fun interchange with US Weekly? Alas, some mysteries are better left unsolved.
