Fox News host Eric Bolling responded yesterday to Jon Stewart calling him "the dumb guy" on "The Five."

Stewart concluded his interview with Dana Perino the day before by saying, "tell the dumb guy I said 'hi,'" and Perino caught his meaning. "Which one would that be?" she replied. Even though Stewart didn't identify him by name, Bolling took offense.

"It's sad, the guy is so obsessed with hating Fox News that he spent a lot of the time taking shots at us, especially me," he said -- despite the fact that Stewart and Perino only spent a few brief moments discussing how one of "The Daily Show" writers is "obsessed" with "The Five."

"Apparently I'm living rent-free in Stewart's head," Bolling continued. "Whatever, Jonny Boy. Your time would have been better spent talking to Dana about her book." He said that if Stewart had done his homework, he "might have learned something, dummy."

Greg Gutfeld, another candidate for the role of "the dumb one," chimed in. "You showed him, Eric!" he said.
