Historically, Ryan Adams has not appreciated comparisons to Canadian rocker Bryan Adams. Thirteen years ago, when a concertoger requested that he play Bryan Adams' hit “Summer of 69” at a show at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium, the singer launched into an expletive-laden meltdown and kicked out the fan who made the request.

Well, it looks like Ryan has finally found peace with his almost-name-twin, delighting fans with a surprise acoustic cover of “Summer of 69” at the very same venue this past Tuesday. Ryan has said in the past that the incident was overblown, and he even tweeted a birthday greeting at Bryan last year, but this really brings things nicely full circle.
