I am highly suggestible, meaning that I am fresh, tender meat for advertisers. If I watch even a moment of a pizza commercial, I spontaneously black out and won't come to until a pizza has been delivered to my apartment. Same goes for emotionally-manipulative ads. So when I saw this new organ donation PSA from agency DDB Argentina, I was skeptical that everyone would have the same reaction to it as I did (like a solid 45-minute cry).
But I shared it with my colleagues, and even the cold-hearted animal-hating ones seemed to like it, meaning this is the best PSA I've ever seen.
The 90-second ad follows an old man and his dog as they do various activities around town -- each time the man walks into a store, the dog sweetly waits outside the window for him to return. I am not going to tell you how it ends (stop being a dumb baby and watch it, it's literally 90 seconds), but I have already said it's an ad for organ donation, so I think you have a good idea where it will probably go.
Bravo DDB Argentina and Fundación Argentina de Transplante Hepático, you have ensured that I will not leave my cat literally ever even for a trip to the coffee shop with my girlfriends.
