J.K. Rowling has repeatedly burnished her credentials Twitter’s number one troll vanquisher, from ripping on misogynists to shutting down a reader's complaint about Dumbledore's sexuality.

Yesterday, Rowling aimed her awesome bigotry-busting powers at the Westboro Baptist Church, after the infamously homophobic organization responded to Rowling's joke tweet about a marriage between Dumbledore and Gandalf in the wake of Ireland's successful same-sex marriage referendum.

The Westboro Baptist Church tweeted something horrible, as they are wont to do:

And Rowling went in for the kill:

When one Twitter user criticized her for drawing attention to the Church, Rowling responded by highlighting the importance of shutting down hate speech no matter what.

10 points for Gryffindor!
