Barack Obama is pretty hip with the kids, as far as presidents go. Last year, he appeared on Zach Galifianakis' comedy web series "Between Two Ferns," as well as conducting a set of YouTube interviews, including one with John Green’s brother and famous Vlogger Hank Green.

And this Friday, Commander in Chief's secret servicemen will accompany him to perhaps his most alternative venue yet: Marc Maron's stray cat-filled garage, aka "The Cat Ranch," where the President will join Maron for an episode of his seminal podcast "WTF With Marc Maron," scheduled to go live on the web next Monday.

"This is a big day for our country, for me and for my cats. I'm looking forward to a respectful conversation with the President. I'm calling it the WTF Summit. I hope he's cool with that," said Maron in a statement.

Maron is broadly viewed as a trailblazer in the podcasting world — his show has been around since 2009 — and has had some high profile guests grace his garage, including Robin Williams, Mick Jagger and Louis C.K. But even for Maron, booking the Prez is a huge deal: As he said on Thursday’s episode, his aim is to try to do a “classic” WTF interview, and also “not to lose [his] shit," which sounds reasonable.

“Oh my God, I hope my bathroom’s clean,” Maron joked. “We let the neighbors know. My producer has been at the house dealing with secret service. My street is going to be incredibly safe for the next few days.”
