Ted Nugent is a Cecil the Lion truther (because of course he is)

The gun-slinging rocker just shared some thoughts that might trump Mia Farrow's in the tone-deaf department

Following the grisly killing of Cecil the Lion we've heard many tone-deaf responses from celebrities including Mia Farrow. Add one more to that list, because the gun-slinging NRA member Ted Nugent has just weighed in and he's pretty sure everything you know about Cecil's death is wrong.

“[T]he whole story is a lie,” Nugent wrote on Facebook today. “It was a wild lion from a ‘park’ where hunting is legal & ESSENTIAL beyond the park borders. [A]ll animals reproduce every year & would run out of room/food to live w/o hunting. I will write a full piece on this joke asap. God are people stupid[.]”

Nugent was, of course, also asked to share his thoughts on Jimmy Kimmel, the late-night host who broke down in tears Tuesday while urging viewers to prove that not all Americans were like "jackhole" dentist Walter Palmer.

"Lying punk," he said, cutting to the chase.

Later, in response to a Facebook fan who suggested that Walter Palmer, the Minnesota dentist who killed Cecil, was hunting in a way that was "pure bullshit," Nugent rushed to his defense (again). It's the “right thing to do unless of course you are clueless & inexperienced,” he said.
