"Oh my God, I just shot myself! I just got my conceal and carry"

Mayhem and chaos at a Kansas theater when a genius takes his gun and permit to the movies, then shoots himself

A man in Salina, Kansas shot himself last Friday night in a cinema - by accident.

A couple sitting in the theatre heard a shot fire but thought it could have been a bag of candy being popped open, until a man sitting a few rows in front of them shouts, "Oh my God, I just shot myself! I just got my conceal and carry." The amazing interview here comes from local TV station KWCH.

Yes, a man takes his conceal and carry to a public cinema and then proceeds to accidentally shoot himself once in the leg.

Heather and Domenic, the young couple who witnessed the incident were terrified. Heather told KWCH, "I believe in protecting yourself, but it is scary knowing they're in public places," Guns in the mall where the theatre is located are prohibited but there were no signs in front of the cinema. "I feel absolutely terrible for the gentleman that shot himself, but the first thing I thought of was, thank God he didn't shoot anybody else."

No one was evacuated as the situation was considered a medical emergency. Kansas' current laws state that gun owners can conceal and carry without any required training or a permit, making it easier for anyone to shoot themselves accidentally, anywhere and anytime.
