Trevor Noah goes fan-boy on Martin O'Malley: If I could vote, "I would vote for you"

O'Malley to Noah: You're the only immigrant excited about Donald Trump

Former Maryland Gov. Martin O'Malley might only be polling at 1 percent after last week's debate, but it doesn't mean he isn't afraid to throw a few punches. On Monday night's "Daily Show with Trevor Noah," O'Malley attacked frontrunner Hillary Clinton on cozy ties with Wall Street and touted his successes with gun control in Maryland.

O'Malley previously endorsed Clinton in 2008, and host Trevor Noah wanted to know what had changed since his endorsement of Clinton then. "As our times change, as our challenges change," O'Malley said.

He went on to specifically talk about Clinton lacking independence when it comes to Wall Street reform. "She said in the debate, 'I represented Wall Street.' And yes, she did. And I believe she hasn't the independence needed to protect the main street economy from excesses on Wall Street."

Noah went a little "fan boy," calling O'Malley handsome and saying that during the debate, "O'Malley would look down the lens... and look into my eyes." Noah told him that if he could vote, "I would vote for you." O'Malley joked that Noah is probably the only immigrant excited about Donald Trump.

Noah agreed but said it was purely selfish reasons -- most comedians support the candidate that is easier to make fun of.
