A New Orleans police car submerged in water, a young boy in a hoodie dancing in front of police officers in riot gear, and the phrase "Stop shooting us" scribbled on a wall: from the imagery to the lyrics, it is clear that Beyonce is sending us a powerful message with her latest single.

And while Beyonce performed it at the Super Bowl, members of National Sheriff's Association- upset that she was allowed to perform it- turned their backs.
