"She needs to come across as softer, gentler": Coverage of Hillary Clinton was sexist in 2008 and not enough has changed

Watch back-to-back clips of Hillary Clinton election coverage in 2008 and now, you will be surprised

When talk show host Joe Scarborough tweeted "Smile" at Hillary Clinton after she won several primaries Tuesday night we were reminded that not enough has changed in the way that the Democratic frontrunner is covered and treated by the media.

We pulled some of the most sexist clips from 2008 and some from today. While watching the clips back-to-back it becomes obvious that although we've made some progress in how female candidates are viewed and covered, there is still a ways to go.
