Ted Cruz isn't about to let the Brussels terror attack go to waste — he will tweet America's way to safety

"Radical Islam is at war with us," he tweeted, but "that ends on January 20, 2017"

Texas Senator and Republican presidential hopeful Ted Cruz reacted, at first, as most did upon learning about the coordinated terror attacks in Brussels this morning:

Of course, if one follows the link to the Facebook post, it quickly becomes apparent that these terrorist attacks merely afford the candidate the opportunity to discuss his favorite subject -- himself -- which he also makes plain in his later tweets:

Because in its hour of need, Belgium requires nothing more urgently than pot-shots at President Barack Obama and empty promises from a presidential candidate whose solution to the global war on terror is to "carpet bomb" Islamic State fighters, no matter what country they happen to be in.
