This Ellen DeGeneres Gap Kids ad is being called racist and here's why

The only black girl featured in the ad is used as "armrest"

Gap Kids released their latest ad campaign featuring Ellen DeGeneres and the pre-teen dance group Le Petit Cirque. However the the only African-American girl featured in the ad photo is used as "armrest" to one of her white dance members. The ad sparked a mixed reaction on social media raising the question if the photo was an example of passive racism or a bad public relations mistake by Gap. Watch.
