"America has always been best when she is lying down with her back on the mat": What was Ted Cruz talking about last night?

He used very bizarre imagery to describe America

Ted Cruz gave a concession speech after losing the New York primary to Donald Trump.

He painted a very strange — and probably more sexual than he intended — scene to describe America: “You may have been knocked down, but America has always been best when she is lying down with her back on the mat, and the crowd has given the final count.”

He lost by dismal numbers in New York: he only won 14.5% of the vote to Trump’s 60.5%.

Cruz continues to make no sense for the rest of his speech — which led us to wonder wait, what the heck is he saying?
