TMZ confirmed Thursday that the body found at Paisley Park was, in fact, singer Prince. He was 57.

He was last filmed in Manhattan by TMZ:

The Minneapolis, Minnesota, native won seven Grammy Awards (32 nominations), a Golden Globe, and an Academy Award (Best Original Song Score, "Prince").

Prince headlined a memorable Halftime Show during the 2007 Super Bowl, performing smash hit "Purple Rain" during a literal downpour:

Among the R&B visionary's greatest hits were "When Doves Cry" (which spent five weeks atop the Billboard charts), "Kiss" (two weeks), and "Cream":
