On MSNBC's Morning Joe Friday, co-host Joe Scarborough made a desperate bid to create relevance where none exists by declaring that current Republican front-runner Donald Trump is "like Prince," who died suddenly yesterday at the age of 57.
Scarborough was responding to former George W. Bush communications chief Nicolle Wallace, who said that unlike Hillary Clinton, Trump is "so nimble" when it comes to how he can attack Democrats on social issues.
"I'll give you that last point," Scarborough said. "On this point where you said he's so 'flexible,' he's like Prince -- a shape-shifter.
"Trump on social issues," he continued, "on Planned Parenthood, when he was in the middle of the fight in South Carolina, it wasn't like he was hiding things."
"Hillary is going to be up against a guy that not only says we're not going to cut Social Security, I'm with you on social issues -- and by the way, we're going to kill ISIS in two weeks," Scarborough concluded.
