"I don't give a damn about the Republicans": Bobby Knight gives batsh*t stump speech at Indiana Trump rally

Among Trump's presidential qualifications, Knight said, is his ability "to find people" — whatever that means

At his rally in Evansville, Indiana on Thursday, Donald Trump paraded former-Indiana University basketball coach Bobby Knight— best known for throwing chairs, choking players and staff and coaching three national championship-winning teams — who is in a dead-heat with Clint Eastwood for the GOP's least coherent celebrity member.

"I have, for some time, leading up to where we are now, felt that above anything else, this country needed Donald Trump," Knight said. "That was before I even got to know him. I thought that just reading about him (and) studying about him."

Knight assured the audience that he's not a GOP hype-man, but a purist Trump supporter in a non-partisan vacuum.

"Quite frankly, I don't give a damn about the Republicans," he said. "And then on the other hand, I don't give a damn about the Democrats either."

"Believe me when I tell you, that there has never been a person with a background that has better prepared him for the White House" Knight continued. "When stuff has gone wrong, he hasn't whined and complained about it; he's gone ahead and fixed it."

Another selling point, Knight said, is Trump's ability to "find people."

"You've gotta find a lot of people in politics," he explained (poorly). "And he (Trump) has the ability to get the right people in the right positions ... And also he has a way of getting rid of the people who shouldn't be there."
