"SNL" skewers no-fun Hillary Clinton with President Barbie ad: "It feels like she's trying too hard"

Little girls can't be won over with a Barbie commander-in-chief, even if she comes complete with Snapchat

"Saturday Night Live" took aim at the try-hard eagerness of Hillary Clinton's campaign last night with a fake commercial for President Barbie, who comes complete with a cell phone "and Snapchat," designed to appeal to little girls.

"Girls don't have to play with dolls, we can play with whatever we want," one of the cute kids playing with Lego and other imaginative toys replies.

The chipper Mattel voice-over tries to convince them, and slowly loses her cool. The girls dismiss the doll with: "Feels like she's trying too hard."

"She is trying too hard," insists Mattel Voice. "Because there used to be a time when Barbie couldn't even be president."
