"Beating hearts, guts and blood inside leather bags": PETA's latest campaign is revolting

"Behind The Leather" opened in a pop-up leather shop in Thailand

PETA Asia opened a pop-up leather shop in Thailand in which products had animal intestines, blood and even a beating heart inside. The goal of the shop, entitled "Behind The Leather," is to challenge people's attitudes on animal suffering. The blood, guts and heart are fake.

“Every bit of animal skin, no matter how small, represents the intense suffering of all animals who are killed to make clothing,” a spokesperson for PETA Asia said.

Take a look back on some of PETA's problematic advertising throughout the years.
