In light of last Sunday's Orlando massacre, Amy Schumer is cutting scenes depicting gun violence from her yet-untitled upcoming film, according to an E! News report.

The film, co-starring Goldie Hawn, is currently in production in Hawaii and set to be released next spring.

With her second-cousin, New York Sen. Chuck Schumer, the actress and comedian has been an outspoken advocate for gun control measures after a gunman opened fire, killing 2 and injuring 9 before committing suicide, during a screening of her film, "Trainwreck," last summer.
