Stephen Colbert catches Fox News host Bret Baier filling a water bottle with mustard on RNC condiment cam

"What does he know that we don't know?" wonders "The Late Show" host on behalf of us all

Host Stephen Colbert's "Late Show," in order to prove just how boring this Republican National Convention has been, live-streamed on Monday the condiment station at the Quicken Loans Arena.

"Half-a-million people watched delegates put ketchup on their hot dogs," Colbert said. "Proving what we already knew — the Republican party is a bit of a sausage fest."

A surreal highlight of the two-hour stream came in the final minutes, when Fox News host Bret Baier filled a plastic water bottle with mustard.

"Why is Brett Baier hoarding mustard? What does he know that we don't know? I can't judge the man; we report, you decide," Colbert said, calling this "the biggest condiment scandal to come out of Fox News since Roger Ailes was caught spanking the bottom of a ketchup bottle."
