Local TV news cameras captured Brock Turner — the Stanford University swimmer sentenced to six months for raping an unconscious woman in 2015 — registering himself as a tier III sex offender at the Greene County Sheriff’s Office in Xenia, Ohio, on Tuesday morning.

Last week Turner, 21, returned to his hometown,  a nearby suburb of Dayton, after serving just three months in Santa Clara County Jail. California Judge Aaron Persky, a Stanford alumnus, handed Turner the lenient sentence in June after determining, “A prison sentence would have a severe impact on him.” Persky has since been the target of a fervent recall campaign.

Per his sentence, Turner must reregister every 90 days for the rest of his life and serve three years' probation.
